I'm Cat Halek IBCLC. I discovered my love of infant feeding 7 and half years ago after the birth of my son Ian. I always knew breastfeeding my son was one of the most important things I could do as a mom.
As a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor at Woman Infant and Children's Supplemental Nutrition Program, I received extensive training and mentoring from 3 fabulous International Board Certified Lactation Consultants or for short IBCLC.
Since leaving WIC I have been in private practice. I also loved seeing clients, when their was funding for my position, at Baby Cafe in Hillsborough County. When I am working with families I feel that is the time when I am serving my true purpose. I'm am honored that families invite me into their homes at such a vulnerable time.
Now In Addition to My traditional Home Visits I am adding new services.
The Drop In Clinic @ The Well Mondays 10 AM to 1 PM (donation based/ no one turned away for lack of donation)
Sliding Scale Home Visits to select zip codes
